Who’s to say that 3D movies are only for the casual action movies or a simple 2D to 3D conversion? Life of Pi, arguably one of the best 3D movies up to date, has been the most successful contender at the Oscars 2013 in terms of wins, with four Oscars. Leaving aside the story, based on the “Life of Pi” book written by Yann Martel, the technology and the visual effects in the movie were truly astonoshing.
The 3D aspect was not just the simple “objects popping at you”, but surroundings and life elements put the viewer and his feelings within the world of Pi.
